Support your students’ whole being

It is time for voice teachers to learn how to support their students’ whole being so their authentic voice can shine.

You are in the right place if you’re ready to:

  • Help build the confidence of your students not only in their musical abilities, but in all aspects of their lives.

  • Help your students overcome emotional and mental challenges.

  • Address the holistic needs of each student in a way that adds to the music learning experience.

  • Be a part of a community of like-minded teachers.

Hi, I’m Laura.

Like you, I love being a voice teacher.

I am a board-certified music therapist, songwriter, crossover vocalist, and a voice teacher trying to figure out how to minimize depression, anxiety, and stress, and replace them with lasting self-confidence, wellness, and joy.

For many years of my life I held a strong love for music (especially singing) but also carried a lot of self-loathing and limiting beliefs. As a child I felt most confident while performing but was painfully shy and had low self-esteem in my personal life. This gradually grew into bouts of depression and anxiety, which made pursuing my dreams nearly impossible (or so it felt).

What has helped me the most to overcome my struggles are the tools that I am now teaching my students and other music teachers.

I have developed these tools through not only my work as a music therapist, but also through the help and guidance of other therapists, life coaches, and my religious and spiritual beliefs.

Today I have the honor of helping other voice teachers help students that are like how I was - unsure of who they are and of their worth. Together, we are increasing the amount of emotional and mental support that is being provided in the world.

I believe all of my previous education and experience has prepared me to do this work.

I am a mindful voice teacher.

And guess what?

You can be one too.

I will help you.
